McBusted and Katy Perry Concert Nails.

Hiya!

Well, have I been busy this week or what?!
Sunday, I went to see McBusted again in Brighton and it was incredible!! We got so close to the front, I still can't believe it! I have never seen Busted that up close before and I've only ever seen McFly up close like that once before so it was a real treat. :P
Then on Tuesday, I got to see my idol, my favourite woman in the whole world, the absolutely stunning Miss Katy Perry. This was the first time I have ever seen her live, I was beyond excited and I felt that this was a very important concert for me personally. We also had a very good view for where we were standing and I got to see her quite up close and ended up crying my eyes out during her talking for the intro of a particular song.

BUT! For both of these amazing nights, I painted my nails to fit each theme. :D
For McBusted, I wore one of the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints and a custom polish I had ordered from Dollish Polish. It was shortly after my last McBusted concert that I began to wish that someone had made a 'Back to the Future' inspired nail polish, as I would most definitely wear it to the next McBusted concert. Then, I had a lightbulb moment and realised I could make it happen myself! All I needed to do, was order a custom nail polish from Dolly and tell her my idea for her to make it!

To be absolutely honest, all I knew was that I wanted it to be based on the DeLorean so that was basically silver but I knew I wanted to somehow incorporate blue in there to represent the electrical sparks the car makes when it transports through time, and of course it had to be glitter! I asked for some kind of holo effect in it and that's all I basically gave Dolly for my idea, and what I got was a thing of magic and it also arrived in 5 DAYS!!!!!!!!!

And this is what it looks like on my nails!

I decided to wear it over Barry M Damson as I thought the combination was perfect. Unfortunately, this is the only decent picture I managed to get. You Built a Time Machine, out of a DeLorean?! is sooo sparkly, much more than the picture is showing. Dolly told me that it has 'Silver and silver holo glitters, ranging from micro to medium blue holo glitters, and royal blue glitter shreds, and a touch of spectraflair for some extra bling!' BASICALLY PERFECTION IN A BOTTLE! <3
When I applied both of these polishes, I was in a rush because I didn't give myself enough time to do them properly and my quick dry top coat isn't so quick after all! I got loads of air bubbles in my polish and a few dents :( I would have minded but I knew that the day after I was going to have to take it off for me to do my nails ready for Katy Perry!!!!!!!!!!

For absolutely ages, I couldn't decide how to do my nails, as I have all 4 of the nail polishes Katy Perry made with OPI, but I also had one from Dollish Polish and recently I found one from China Glaze called 'Prism' which I thought would be perfect as her album and tour is called 'Prism'.
It finally dawned on me that I could do a gradient tiger print pattern! I was even more happy to decide on this as it matched with the t-shirt I was going to wear!Unfortunately I didn't take step-by-step pictures but there are loads of tutorials online if you want to find out. :)

I used Models Own - Pukka Purple and Barry M - Raspberry for the gradient effect, then I added the tiger stripes with my Barry M Nail Art Pen in Black then I decided to add Dollish Polish - California Gurl for added sparkle!! On my accent nail I used China Glaze - Prism.
I am so pleased with how it turned out and I can't belive that I done it hahaha but I absolutely love it.

I hope you like it too!
Take care, speak soon :) xx
