Models Own Speckled Egg - Swan and Dollish Polish - Purple Rain.

Hello!

I hope you all had a great Easter and got to eat a lovely roast, lots of chocolate and spent lots of time relaxing. :)

For Easter, I decided to use one of the Models Own polishes from the Speckled Egg collection, as it was fitting for the occasion!!

As you can see, I picked the lilac colour called Swan. I made sure I had a lot of time on my hands when I did my nails for this polish, as I had read that it can dry quite slowly, which was correct. I had no problems with application at all, infact this picture is with no clean up at all. But the drying time was longer than normal, I applied two coats of Swan then added a quick-dry topcoat at around 1pm, by the time I went to bed and woke up the next day, I still had sheet mark imprints on my nails. :(

The eagle-eyed amung you would have noticed that I do have another polish on my accent nail and thumb. (There was also a clue in the title :P)
Now, when I picked these to wear together, I knew they'd be similar but I thought the differences would be apparent enough, like they are in the bottle, but on the nail they are too close for my liking to wear like this.
I used Dollish Polish Purple Rain, which was inspired by the song by Prince.

In the bottle, I love it, on the nail I love it, but paired with Swan, it just gets lost and at arms length, it ends up looking the same. :(
I had no issues with application, again no clean up needed here! Drying time was great compared to Swan, but I still used a quick dry top coat to bring out the shine of the pretty glitters that are: dark and light purple hexes with even darker purple squares, plus small and large green-y blue hex glitter in a milky lilac base.

Even though this mani made me think of mini eggs all over easter, it is shocking to report that I have not had a single one, so the polish will have to do!

Thank you for reading.
Take Care! x
