Hello,
First, I just want to say sorry that this isn't a nail post today. I have painted my nails but one of the topcoats I have used has made the nail polish shrink, so I am unable to show you decent pictures of my nails.
Instead, I would like to talk about my concert experience I had on Thursday, as I cannot stop thinking about it and I need to tell someone!! Hehe :P (If you follow me on Facebook, you would've seen/heard me go on about this already, sorry!)
So, I was a humongous fan of Busted from the very beginning. I have every single, every album, book, DVD they ever released and everyone at my senior school knew I was a fan. Their music made me happy and at 12-13 years old, you like to think yourself as one of the bands' future wife, (I'm still hoping to be Mrs Simpson one day. :P) I used to collect all of their posters and interviews out of every magazine I could, to know what they were doing next. (Social media was non-existent 12 years ago!) I even got to see Busted in concert twice. 2nd June 2003 would be my first, I cannot describe the excitement I felt seeing them on stage right in front of me. Good old Dad got dragged all the way to the Hammersmith Appllo to witness a 2 hour show with nothing but a room of teenage girls screaming at the top of their lungs to get noticed by their favourite. Then I got to see them again the following year in December at Wembley Arena and this time I had Mum in tow. I was even closer this time around and I could not believe that I was able to see Charlie and all his beautifulness up close! <3
Sadly, that would be the last as a month later, Busted had called a press conference to announce that Charlie was leaving. Obviously I was heartbroken and only had McFly to turn to. I've always loved McFly but I loved Busted just that bit more. Over the years, I've seen McFly in many different venues, I've even managed to meet them once! But when I saw them on their Keep Calm and Play Louder tour in March 2013, I never imagined I would see Mr. James Bourne supporting them.
He came out with just his acoustic guitar and sang three songs to us. One being Year 3000, the whole crowd went ballistic, including me and you could hear the whole of Wembley Arena singing along with James. I had goosebumps, I was crying and it felt so good to hear it live again after 10 years. It was then that they (McFly, James and Matt) decided they needed to do something amazing.
Fast forward to 24th April 2014 at the O2 Area with McBusted as the headline act.
Even when sitting in my seat I couldn't believe that it was real, but sure enough, the lights went out and the intro video was playing, before it had even finished I was already crying! I didn't think I would but when Matt and James came out on stage just standing there and all I could hear was screams, welcoming them back onto the stage (where they belong!) and I suppose it all caught up with me and had a river of tears running down my face.
They began with 'Air Hostess' which I thought they would, all the while I was singing at the top of my lungs to every word and jumping up and down, it was really a dream come true. I wasn't directly at the front, I had a seating ticket but I had a good view, plus they had a few screens up so you can see them better.
It was fantastic to hear them perform a few of Busted's album track, too! I loved that McFly and Busted were not trying to compete with each other, they all looked like they were having such a good time, and it must have rubbed off, as I was having the time of my life!!
Part way through the show they came down on a smaller stage deeper into the crowd, which so happened to be RIGHT WHERE I WAS STANDING!! :D
They made it look like a UFO and started singing 'Star Girl' (perfect song choice!!) and as it was being lowered, I began to see the top of a microphone, still not knowing who's it was, then I caught view of another, then I could see James straight in front of me and Danny was to my right. I was very happy about this as Danny is my favourite member of McFly. :)
At one point, while Danny was singing, HE LOOKED DIRECTLY AT ME, POINTED AT ME AND WAS SMILING. I had died by this point, but I still managed to smile back, scream at him and pointed back at him. <3 <3 <3
When they had finished on the UFO, they came down a ladder and the whole of McBusted was standing 2 feet away from me, James was looking at me and waving so I was waving back with the biggest smile on my face like a crazy woman. :D <3
I definitely could've gone home happy by this point, but there were still more songs to scream my lungs out to!! I don't really care how I looked to other people, I was having such a good time and I wanted to be apart of this, which in my eyes, was something so special and I will treasure and remember it forever. They even threw in a cover of The Jackson 5's 'I Want You Back' COMPLETE WITH DANCE MOVES, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!
NOW I GET TO GO AGAIN!! I'm going to their Brighton date with some girls from work and I am beyond excited that I can re-live this again for one more night. <3 <3
Thank you, take care! x
