Valentines Themed Nails.

Hi everyone!
I hope you've had a good week, I seem to have bought a quite a few false eyelashes! I've been wearing a new pair from Katy Perry and Eylure today called Banging Beauty and they've been a dream! :)

Anyway, onto today's post. As you are all aware, it's Valentines day on Friday and no matter how much some of you may try to avoid it, it's coming. I didn't really want it to happen last year as I was going through a really tough break up and I wanted this day over and done with ASAP. But this year I felt a little more mellow about it, not quite embracing it but getting there!

So, I decided to do a sort of Valentines themed mani this week, I chose OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress, with Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It as an accent as I thought the hearts would be perfect. (Obviously!) I know it's a little early to do this mani now, but like I've said before, I can't wear nail polish to work (boo) so I had to do it now, plus it may help you decide what you may choose to wear for V-day. :)

This is the first time I've worn I'm Not Really a Waitress and in all honesty, I have NO idea why!! It's the most beautiful, flattering, (even sexy) shade of red there is. It compliments my skintone nicely and makes my nails look a little longer, too!

I love Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It as the accent, as it gives a gorgeous flash of pink every now and then (thanks to the tiny pink flecks in the polish) just to change it up from all out red. Be sure to add a genorous amount of topcoat to make sure the hearts don't lift off the nail. The hearts themselves are a nice size to fit a couple on a single nail, (as you can see I have three) and are a lovely matt pink.

Both these polishes applied beautifully and I used two coats for I'm Not Really a Waitress but the first was very opaque, I just covered up some patches with the second. Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It didn't require any 'fishing', I just dipped the brush back into the bottle for some more hearts. Drying time was good but sped up with a good quick-dry topcoat.

Ok guys, I hope you thought this post was helpful for a simple but themed mani for Friday and I  hope you all have a good week with whatever you're doing. :) xx
