I hope you've all had a good week! Mines been ok, just been to work and I found out that DC are cancelling a couple of comics that I read! :'(
Ok, so today I am bringing you a review on the new Barry M 'Silk' nail paints that were released in Superdrug last Wednesday. I bought 4 out of the 6 in the collection. They are all beautiful pastel colours, perfect for the spring!
On my nails are 2 of the 4 polishes I bought as I couldn't wait to try them all!
The main colour is called 'Heather' which is a pretty pastel lilac. I haven't added topcoat as I wanted to show you what the dried effect looks like. It's basically a matte finish but there is a slight pearly shimmer which gives it the 'Silk' look. I think it is very nice and makes a change from just a flat matte colour which, to be honest, I haven't tried but I'm not that keen on.
On my accent nail is 'Pearl' which is lovely pearly (obviously) white. I don't own many whites, infact I think this is the second white I have, but I really do like it. Please excuse the dent, that is my impatience showing through, as I didn't quite wait long enough when I got my camera out!
Application on both these polishes was a breeze, opaque at two coats, average drying time and it depends on how you apply your polish as this can be streaky, but I had no issues with it at all. I wouldn't recommend going over the same spot too many times either, as this will drag the polish.
I am very pleased with these polishes and looking at them all together is making me in the mood for spring, already! And I think these polishes could be good for an easter type manicure, too!
I hope you're all liking these as much as I am!
Take care :) xx
