Halloween Themed Nails.

Hello!
I had every intention to have this posted before Halloween, but my space key on my laptop has suddenly decided to stop working, I was hoping my dad could fix it in time but no luck, this is the first chance I've had to write and post since, so sorry about that!

I hope you all had a good Halloween, I had to work so I couldn't dress up or wear my nails like this on the actual day but I enjoyed wearing them when I did.

I wore two different designs as I love my Halloween polishes dearly but I never seem to get around to wearing them, so I made sure I wore as many as I could for the occasion!

The first polish I wore was Dollish Polish - Deadly Nightshade, over Barry M - Indigo.

I enjoyed this combo as I felt it really brought the purple out in Deadly Nightshade that may have required numerous coats had I wore this on its own, as it has a purple shimmer base with purple, blue, pastel pink, bright pink and black glitter dots and hexes.

I only needed one coat of each polish to get to full opacity that you see in my picture.
Then I added a cool nail sticker to finish off the look. I bought a pack of The Nightmare Before Christmas nail stickers from Poundland and was dying to use them and I thought what better to use them with than a nail polish that is also based on the same film?!

My second Halloween mani was a gorgeous limited edition Famous Couples Throughout History duo from Jindie Nails and Dollish Polish! This time the duo was themed perfectly for the occasion, Frankenstein and his bride!

Dolly made My Man, Frank which is made up of  "A shimmery green apply crelly, jam-packed with fun and festive glitters including, dots, squares, stars, moons and hexagons in shades of purple, green, orange, black and white." (Taken from the description on the card.)

Jen made Frank's Ole Lady, which is my favourite of the two, that consists of "A highly pigmented, deep purple jelly bursting with several shapes in matte, metallic and holographic finishes in shades of pastel pink, barbie pink, magenta, red, purple, lilac, sapphire, lavender, white and black. Shapes include skulls, hearts, dots, donuts, triangles, hexagons, diamonds and tiny stars. Plus 3 different colour shifting shimmers added including red, violet to blue, rose gold, and blue to purple. (Also from the card.)

I bought my set (number 38!) from Dolly as I also ordered one of her polishes based on her Zombie theme for Halloween 2014.
When I got them in the post, I was ecstatic when I saw the picture they used on the card of Frankenstein and his bride. I have to say it is my favourite picture from the three sets I currently own. It is these extra things I like and it really makes the set feel special. The one thing I noticed compared to my other sets, was that they didn't do the gold labels on tops of the polishes. Nothing major but now they don't all match, lol.

While my eyes alone would have never been able to have picked out all of that amazingness, I did manage to get some of the glitters out to show you an example.

This is two coats of My Man, Frank. No fishing required!
Many of you who know me will know that green is one of my least favourite colours, but somehow
paired together with the other polish I can't not like it! I feel Dolly has once again nailed it with this polish. It is a perfect representation of Frankenstein and I admire her for it doing so well.

As I said before, this is my favourite polish of the two, but application was really difficult. I think because there was so much going on with it, it was too thick to just go ahead and paint my nails with, but at the time I was being tremendously lazy and couldn't be bothered to go and get my nail polish thinner. The next time I wear this polish I will make sure I have it beside me!
As a result of the polish being a bit thick, it has made the purple appear really dark and in turn, has hidden a lot of the pretty glitters within the polish.
Plus, I think it has hidden the colour shifting shimmers mentioned above, as I couldn't see any of them the whole time I wore this.

I do think this would have taken a long time to dry, had I not used my quick dry top coat.

I am really happy with the end result and I think they are excellent portrayals of their characters and I can only hope for more of the same from Dolly and Jen in the future!

I hope you enjoyed this post, take care and speak soon! Xxx
