I hope you are ok, I am currently on a week off before I start my new job so I am just enjoying my free time and relaxing. :D
Today I would like to blog about something slightly different.
As you all know, I am a huge fan of Katy Perry and I am that person that knows what she's releasing and when, and I almost always HAVE to have it.
So, when she announced that she was releasing a jewellery collection exclusively to Claire's, I was ALL OVER IT! In May, she released her 'Roar Collection' which included notebooks, phone cases, headbands and rings.
Naturally, I wanted EVERYTHING but I was good and I limited myself to a pair of earrings and some of the best sunglasses I have EVER seen! :D
These are some gorgeous studs that are representing the shape of a 'Prism', as that is what she has called her recent album and it is apparent that she has taken a lot of inspiration from that for this collection.
I think these are one of the 'subtle' pieces from this collection, they are very wearable for everyday use and sparkle nicely in the sun.
The price of these earrings was £5 and I thought that was quite reasonable, but there are other things, in my opinion, that are a little too much for what they are.
I also really like that they have made the packaging different from their normal purple cards, so it's easy to see this is from a different collection.
Omg, do I even have to say anything?! JUST LOOK AT THEM! <3
Another thing you may have picked up if you know me/follow me on social media, I LOVE ALL THINGS CATS. EVERYTHING. KITTIES ALWAYSSSS. :D
So, can you imagine my reaction when I saw these online?! I freaked out to say the least, I looked in all Claire's stores that I could to try and get these, but they were all quite small and not a single one carried the whole collection. Much sadness.
I ended up buying these from Claire's Accessories on eBay. When they arrived, one of the gems had fallen out but luckily it was still in the bag so I glued it back in but it has fallen out since, plus another unfortunately. I've filled in the gaps with silver nail polish but I really am annoyed that they've fallen out at all.
These were £12 and personally, I would never spend that much money on a pair of sunglasses, but it's only because they were so cute and unusual that I did.
I really do love them and I don't regret buying them, but I would expect for £12 that they made sure the gems would stay in place.
After that, I was lucky enough to be treated to a couple more things by my nan as an early birthday present (at the time) because she knew I would want to wear them to Katy Perry's concert when I saw her. (Which I did!)
I saw this on the stand in the shop, picked it up, saw the price and put it straight back down again. £10 for a bracelet, especially being only costume jewellery, was far too expensive in my opinion, but my nan said to me "Do you like it then?" " Yes, I do, but it's £10, I can't afford that." With that she picked it up and told me to pick something else and said I can have it for my birthday, saying that she never knows what to get me so she was more that happy to.
If I wasn't so happy with excitement, I probably would've hugged her while crying right there and then!
I just love all the charms on this, obviously having a cat AND a tiger was a huge win for me, plus I liked that it has the logo for 'Prism' in it too. :D
This is the other item I chose, yes another pair of earrings, but how could I go to Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour and not have anything with 'Prism' on it?!
These are medium disc studs (between the size of a 5p and a 10p,) that have a lovely ring of gems around the edge with the Prism logo in the middle. A simple style, but perfect for what I wanted. They do have a bit of weight to them and can pull on your ear lobes a little, but it's nothing that bothered me too much.
These were also £5, which I think is quite reasonable.
Not long after the initial launch of this collection, it was announced that there would be a new collection to come out for the summer! This would be called the 'Wildflower Collection' and was released end of June/beginning of July I think.
I had a good look at this collection, but there was nothing that really jumped out at me. A lot of the jewellery was gold and I cannot stand gold, so it didn't really leave a lot for me to like.
But the most recent collection is definitely my favourite. It came out 9th September and I want most of it!
I've really had to restrain myself from going mad and buying it all because I am on limited funds while I switch over jobs. IT IS AGONY.
The new collection is called the 'Kitten Collection.' MAYBE NOW YOU UNDERSTAND MY PAIN?!
I have caved and bought 3 things, but that is exceptional restraint for me, I tell you!!!
HOW COULD I RESIST THIS??? IT HAS A PEARL COLLAR WITH A HEART CHARM, GEMS FOR PAWS AND A KITTY PURRY LOGO, SORRY, I JUST COULD NOT. OMG.
I saw this online and knew if this was in the shop, I'd end up walking out with it. :D (Paid for of course!)
There is also a black one, which I need! £7 for this fine piece of work is about the maximum I would pay, no matter how perfect it may be. But luckily I didn't have to go without. :D
Again, compared to their website, the store didn't carry very much of the new collection at all, slightly upsetting but maybe good for my bank, maybe not...
I saw these on the stand at the same time as the keyring. I love the cat studs (obviously) and I love that she's put 'Katy Cat' somewhere into the collection, it's like her saying this is from me to you. It feels special in a way, just for us kind of thing. If these were out when I saw her, I totally would have worn these, but there's always next time! (In my dreams.)
These were £8 for the set and I really don't think you can argue that!
I think this is my favourite of all, though... A CAT STYLE IPHONE CASE. OMG IT IS PERFECTION. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I love the extra touch with the 'Kitty Purry' logo in the bottom corner!! (Kitty Purry is the name of Katy Perry's cat, incase anyone didn't know.)
When I saw this online, I was pretty much sobbing as the listing for this says 'For iPhone 5/5S'. All I knew is that I have a 5C, so it wouldn't fit. It wasn't until I was talking to my dad about it and he said that there wasn't a iPhone 5, just a 5C or a 5S, so when I saw a picture that someone uploaded onto instagram and I saw in the left hand corner that it specifies 'iPhone 5C & 5S', I immediately asked him to drop me off in town so I could buy it! <3 Thanks dad :D x
There is a pink version of this case too, I would have got that one if they had it but I do love this one just as much. As it's made of silicone, all the fluff does tend to stick to the case and it's a tiny bit loose at the bottom but I am willing to put up with it for the best phone case ever made!!! This was £10.

Honestly, can you not tell that the Crazy Cat Lady in me well and truly came out with this collection! I don't even care, it's how I got the idea to name my blog CrazyGlitterLady!
Well, I hope this was as enjoyable for you to read as it was for me to write. I will be getting back into my nail polish post, so don't worry if this wasn't for you!
Take care. :D xxx
